Troubleshooting

Check if the shutter has been opened

IPG laser can be emitted only when the shutter is opened. Check if the Shutter button in the CypCut software is enabled, shown as below.

Check communication settings for IPG laser

If the shutter can not be opened, there maybe something wrong with the communication between the CypCut software and the IPG laser. Open the Laser section of the Cypcut Machine Config Tool, shown as below.

If the laser is set to be communicated using net, please make sure the network connection is successfully established. If the network communication fails, check the network cable connection first, then check if the IP address is set to a correct value (usually 192.168.3.231).

If the laser is set to be communicated with hard wire connections, please check out the connections according to the settings here.

Check the processing settings

If the shutter has been opened, and the laser can be successfully fired manually, please check the laser part of the processing settings in the Layout settings, shown as below.

Check the manual firing settings

If the laser can be successfully fired while processing, but failed to fire manually, please check the manual firing settings in the global parameters of the Layout settings, shown as below.

And make sure that the laser power is set to a value which is strong enough to burn the material used for testing.
